The rain began slowly and then came down cold. Still... any day when people assemble to celebrate survivors, honor those who passed, and raise money to find a cure so no more women will have to die from breast cancer is a beautiful day. Though the weather was too inclement for me to document the event with photographs, my daughter, mother, sisters, and brother-in-law all participated on my mother's team to help raise money for the cause. She is a survivor. We also walked for my cousin who died in her early 40s from breast cancer. There were people walking for and in honor of sisters, mothers, wives, and friends. I even saw a lot of children walking for teachers! There was a record turnout of people in my hometown today.

Sunday is Mother's Day in the United States. I put in mother and child in for search terms in the photography section of dA and came up with some of the following features!
